So African Butterfly fish are jumpers?

Woke up this morning to find my guy on the floor, he was doing so well too :(

I guess I should have gotten the clue from their name :nilly:
 
oooh....they are jumpers, yes....most of all surface swimmers are...sorry.
 
Yup, ohwell just get a new one and put some screen on top of that tank.
 
I'm sry to hear about your loss African Butterflyfish are pretty cool:( . Try getting one of the all glass deluxe hoods, they have worked great for me preventing Hatchets, and the butterflyfish from jumping out.
 
definetly jumpers, mine will come out about 5 inches to get at some crickets from my hand.

Sorry about you're loss, they are one of my favorite fish.
 
w/fins like that what do you expect?
my dad once found one of his hachets down the hall. dead and dried up.
 
sorry for your loss, live and learn though. It is goo idea to have a secure top for most any fish, under the right conditions most any fish can jump.

very simpathetic of you. its not that easy over here, they have been in my lfs but not for awhile. if i saw one i would get it.
