I just decided to take a chance to try to keep this rare and sensitive albino knifefish even though I heard from members trying to keep and raise this fish without success...BUT I just want to see this rare fish live in person.....It died within a day in my tank after the stress it endured through the process of shipping and handling... freaking sucks.... It was a very unique and interesting knifefish...I just wished it lived longer for me to study it.... Heres a pic of it from the freezer..i dont have the heart to toss it...

that sux!
sorry dude!

Oh man, so sorry about them... O. tamandua is an awesome fish. I almost ordered one from Anthony a couple of months ago, but he convinced me to order another species... sort of glad he did. Again, very sorry about him. :(

I have the ability to get those, but I have heard they are so sensative :(

I would love to be able to properly keep a knife like that long term. They are amazing.

Sorry for your loss, that really sucks. Don't give up!

sorry for your loss, I just lost an awesome tire track eel!

That blows aim. Thats a ABA ABA fish right?
Nah, it's Orthosternarchus tamandua... but, they (and abas) do look pretty similar. Very neat species... technically it's not albino either, but naturally lacks most pigment since they live down at around 100 feet in the Amazon. Again, very cool fish... and very sorry for your loss. :(

maybe that y they die
they need the pressure of 100 feet

soryy for ya loss
