I know there was a thread around here about local fish stores here in so cal with nice varied fish selections. Can anyone post any stores that they have been to? I'll start.

Pet World- San Bernardino [Large selection of freshwater, all sorts of sizes as well]

Crystal Cove - Murrieta [Small selection of fish, however excellent store for fish products, such as food, buffers, test equipment, etc]

Fontana Tropical Fish - Fontana [Large selection of fish, tons of fish products great little store]

Rare Exotic Fish - Moreno Valley [Limited selection, a lot of off brands 'jebo' , did have a large Pbass Tank though!]

ALL TROPICAL FISH

los angeles california, pico and crenshaw

bumpz0rs!1!!11

Global aquatics, Vinyard and mission, ontario- If you haven't been you need to go.
Pet World San Bernardino again
Elliotts for pets in Riverside- I usually only go there for feeders, they don't count every stinking guppy that come out of the net, usually you'll get double if not more than what you would normally get. I've been in there before and got $5 in guppies I swear I couldn't see light through the bag. They don't have a very big fish selection at all. But check it out if you feed carnivors.
Those are usually the three places I stick to. Check them out let me know what you think.

Not in any particular order

1. Red sea fish & reptiles On leffingwell Rd in whittier
They have A Colombian shark at least a foot long A MUST SEE

2. Morning sun garden On Valley Blvd in San Gabriel
Small selection of Fh and other tropicals inside
and massive selection of Koi and goldfish outside under giant canopies
Huge pond and pond eqiupment ie: waterfalls, rocks ,statues, pumps
Tons of neat stuff,

3.ABC Tropical fish & Pets On Washington Blvd in Whittier
There are new owners now, and they have really cleaned it up and remodeled
they installed a bunch of new 20G tanks all tied in to 1 system,
different floor layout, new paint , happy faces

4.tongs on whittier Blvd in Whittier, tons of eqipment ,
Seems like endless amounts of filters , lots and lots of fish
Salt and fresh, 4 Giant reef tanks , possibly 240's , I'm Not sure
But Beautiful

There are many more that ive gone to check out Like on a sat.
or sun to me its fun trying to find new LFS to check out
these are just 4 that I frequent
( Gosh I feel like ive just done a commercial LOL )

Pet world or Fontana Tropical fish ?
is either one of those that store that is real close to orange show speedway ?

Tropical Imports in Glendale Colorado and chevy chase. Sometimes they get rare things in and don't know it. They keep a clean shop and always have healthy fish. If you're looking for healthy bread and butter fish this is a good stop.

Sunset Tropical fish in El Monte
Badass!!! As far as predators go, if thats what you're into. A really good selection of other fish and cichlids at great prices.

Ocean Blue in Anaheim.
Very nice shop, big and Great selection. Brian is a friendly guy.

hey tape worm the store listed in moreno valley is that located on perris as you exit off the 60?

Yeah it is off perris, I think its perris and cottonwood, not sure. Their selection is limited, but they get some rare finds sometimes...most notable fish they have their are some red texas' and some electric blue dempseys.

We know the owner of exotic quite well and the selection is deceptive. He has another store plus a large wearhouse so he can get just about anything you want. Don't expect a huge bargan in price but he is reasonable....the equipment selections not great. (I hate chinese knock offs) but he has a great deal on bio-media from time to time....about half what we get it for anyplace else. (ceramic rings...bio balls.) Higher quality feeders than most places if you still use them.

You can pass on Global aquatics...it's far less impressive than it seems at first glance. Tong's on the other hand is a nice shop as is Fontanna. Pet World is a bit... hit and miss... as far as fish quality and servace go but the selections usually good and they carry a great stock of spare parts and frozen/live foods and tanks. They have easilly twice what Global carrys in spite of Globals claims...

Lastly...if your into salt water...theres Gills in Temicula...great place run by a really nice guy who knows his stuff. Imaculate tanks and a couple of really impressive displays.
