Well my first order of Hikari Carni Sticks came yesterday, so disappointing?
The size of the pellet for one , its still too small. The price for another?

I was looking for something larger than Tetra's Cichlid jumbo sticks, was willing to pay a little more too. Well back to Tetra, its a lot less expensive...easier to obtain, as every Walmart carries it.

Hikari has to be the master of exceptional advertising for a so so product and getting premium dollars?

Anyone else feel like Hikari carnisticks is too overpriced?

Maybe a little. But they are higher quality. The large cichlid stable by harki is cheap. Does it matter if the food is to small. I mean If your fish eat you will be fine. If they are cichlids you can get them cichlid stable.

Hikari carnivore sticks are expensive, but fish love em. I am yet to find a fish that won't eat them. As to the size of the sticks, if you find they are too small, just feed more of them.

I guess that was the expectation if they truly where a "Jumbo Stick" as advertised.

"A jumbo stick developed to stimulate fish normally fed live foods that will completely satisfy their hunger."
"Finally a large sized stick that efficiently provides the required energy for the biggest eaters."

The higher cost could be offset by feeding fewer sticks.

Never thought that you should feed your fish less of one stick because one has more nutrition.

Really ???:wall:

Hypothetically:

say a large fish needs 800 calories a day to grow?

2 sticks provide 800 calories versus 50 pellets that also provide 800 calories..

Why would you feed more than 2 sticks?
