Fellas - just picked up 6 peacock bass. These things are amazing. They are currently in a 55g tank with a whisper 200 filter. I also have 3 silver dollars in there. They eating krill already which is fantastic, however this makes a mess on the bottom of the tank. I am thinking of getting a red tail catfish - what do you guys think?

Im geussing you know that u need to tank-up in a little while. But id let the pbass grow before you get a redtail cause RT grow pretty fast and if they out grow the pbass the RT going to have one $$$$ meal

I say no go on the RTC they will get very large and you probably do not have a home for that ]v[onter. Pbass are good for a couple months in the 55 before you will have to upgrade to a larger tank.

I wouldn't recommend a rtc with pbass at all. They're going to outgrow the pbass quickly and be able to eat them soon.

someone gots pbass fever..... any pics....

I won't state the obvious about tank size. What type of pbass? I wouldn't recommend the RTC. he will grow faster than the bass and more than likely eat them.

Don't add any more fish. IMO regular vacuuming of the bottom with frequent water changes is the best way to go with that setup.
