So how much electricity does an FX5 really suck up per month?

I know some of you math wiz's have done the math already.. I just set up another FX5 in my house for a total of 3..

So I am curious how much does it cost to keep on FX5 running all month.

It uses 50W...

So dig out last months bill and tell us how much they charge you per KW/h

But for reference... two FX5's use the same amount of electricity as one 100W light bulb...

Or a better reference... one of them uses the same amount of electricity as your wife's blow drier does every morning...

Of the top of my head a fx5 pulls 48 watts x 24hrs/day x 365 days a year is 420480 watt hours per year. Power companies charge per kilowatt hour mine is 12 cents. So 420480/1000 x .12 = $50.46 a year
