So i bought this 280 gallon acrylic tank in I want some opinions on it. 30 high by 30 wide by 72. Tank was definetly repaired or braced there are 1/2 strips glued on bottom and top, corners have a thick bead of glue seams look pretty clear. Currently in garage geting a test fill, it has a 1/4 bow .what do you think?

Let's get some pics of the whole tank and the bracing around the top. 1/4" bow is not a lot for a 6' acrylic tank ime, but not a little either. A well made acrylic tank can withstand more deflection than that for years, while a poorly built acrylic tank could blow a seam without warning with less.

Those beads of cement in the pictures look like an aftermarket DIY job to me, possibly indicating the previous owner had an issue with one of the seams, added some reinforcement to all of them while they were repairing a leak. I would inspect the bottom panel and seams closely all around the tank, looking for crazing and miniscule separations between the panels. If it checks out by your inspection and fill test, I would make sure to use a very sturdy, perfectly level stand for the tank when you do set it up.

Sorry guys, busy week, holds water no problems, front bowed 3/8. Here are the pictures, there is that one small spot you can see on picture, nothing else. Might get a weldon and piece of acrylic to glue it on. What do you think?
