So I bought some hampalas...

I got tired of reptiles, sold off most of my collection to a friend, and came back to fish lol.

But anyways, I bought a school of 12 hampalas.... I know how big they get, etc. etc. but what I'm really interested in is the feedings! I've heard that they can get pretty savage during feeding time, but how bad is it really? Do I have to look out for tankmates of a similar size? Any experiences with these fish will be appreciated!

Mine feed on pellets, sticks, and minnows. They've yet to bother any tankmates they can't eat in single bites.

That's a bit of a relief, because I've read some stories on here about how they're like bulldogs in that they swarm prey and grab on and shake/rip it to pieces, and then there's my friends who went fishing in thailand that said they have a powerful bite (despite having no teeth) and they can crush lures and whatnot, so that could lead me to believe the stories of this frenzied behavior.
