on kijiji, i found a 120 (4x2x2) gallon tank with all accessories for $75. not a typo, lol.

my dilema is, i don't know what i would do with it. i might go cichlids, but i don't want to get bored with the tank later on. and the dimensions make stocking kind of awkward too. i was thinking maybe a fahaka puffer with some smaller fish for activity. or maybe a couple of black ghost knife fish plus some tetras (i know that they could get picked off). my favourite idea so far is to get a couple of nice looking flowerhorns from Aquabid.

suggestions? if i can't find a great idea, i think i'll just save my 75 bucks

fahaka and other fish= fahaka alone.:D
i saw a video on youtube of a fahaka with a bgk, some clown loaches, and a bunch of tetras and other small fish. they had been living together for a long time, and the fahaka was an adult.

any comments on the flowerhorn idea? how many would be too many flowerhorns? could i put in, say, 3-4, and remove any problem ones?

in a 4x2 I would only recommend one, the LFS's keep them in their own tanks for a reason... :D

also that Fahaka with all there fish I bet was a new setup and I bet today it is housed by its self. They are known killers.

How bout you buy it and then sell it later for more money?

It probably won't last long at that price.

I just noticed this, you should really by the tank before you make plans because at that price it wont last long as FSM said...
