So I got a small clay flower pot

Question is, is there anything special i gotta do to it before i intro it to my tank? boil it? just wipe it down? marinate it in some mango pineapple terriyaki?

i would run it through the dishwasher without soap with the sanitizing rinse cycle if your machine has one.

other than that.. wash it with warm water and put in the oven to dry.. i think my son said 450 F till it's dry.

I just rinsed mine a little with tap water and put it in the tank and no problems.

I do the same just put it under the hot tap and dry it of then throw it in the tank.

I use the plastic flower pots. They are easier to manage I guess.

Im not a real big fan of flower pots in tanks but the fish seem to love'em.
