I pulled this bluegill out of my feeder tank at work. I brought it home and put it in my 75 wile its cycling. What do I feed this thing? I have some freeze dried blood worms that I give my betta. Will that work? I'll post a pic later.

ok so maybe it's not a bluegill. help me ID this thing when I put a pic up.

I'm going to preemptively guess that it's a green sunfish based on the fact that you pulled it from a batch of feeders, but get a pic up and we'll confirm what it is for you

Whichever it is, it will probably take bloodworms. I haven't found many fish that don't go crazy for bloodworms.

yup thats your average green sunfish, look like really washed out.

Sunfish aren't very picky eaters and will convert to pellets and other prepared foods rather quickly. What else do you plan on putting in the 75 when its done cycling? Reason I'm asking is because as the green grows it will get quite the attitude and beat down other fish that you probably wouldn't have thought possible. Case in point here is a vid of one pushing a Jack Dempsy around.

I'm taking it to my pet store and adopting it out...idk maybe it will be a mascot in the aquatics section. you want it? you can come get it. lol. but seriously. you can have it. or anyone else who wants it in 2-5 weeks.
