yesturday i posted on this forum to get help/ ideas from forum members. i did not post to argue the legality of p's in california. but thats what ended up happening. just because something is illegal doesn't mean its not here. so i tried to help as an inexperienced keeper tried to get rid of their p,by bringing to my tank, they said flush but it could have been dumped in a lake or river and no one would have been the wiser. i couldn't let that become a possibility, or be on my concious, so even if i get locked out of this forum for this post, you ppl need to understand, i came here for answers not drama.

Unfortuatly the way around here is to blindly lock and ignore the problem of illegal fish instead of relocation to legal states. Theres no way that the government could do enough searches to irradicate the problem of owning half the illegal stuff out there. I rather see the government take out something larger then go after my well kept pets. The fines are huge for owning piranha illegally so I can see their point but at the same time I agree, you getting help for what you do have would be great.
leave your location blank or just hit the ignore button next time. Most of them weren't even piranha owners but MFK frowns on illegal activity
yeah i fixed it cause thats all i can do but it wasn't about that i was "trying to do the right thing"

HAH, if there going to look anywhere go hunt craigslist or somewhere that people are inviting people into their homes to look. Or better yet start ordering them from breeders or .com stores and do some heavy hitting to make it harder to obtain them to begin with.
