So I picked up an ornate today.

Hes just a little guy maybe 4-5in. The girl at my lfs said he was eating little goldfish, Id like to get him off goldfish, what would be the best way to do that? What should he get instead. I got a couple of little goldfish there just in case. They are currently being quarrintened(sP). I also have some small con fry, like 1/4in. When I got him the girl said he had been in a scuffle and got one of his front fins damaged, but I could tell it was growin back but it was still really small so...I named him nemo. I currently have him with a small silver aro maybe 6in in a 135. How fast should nemo grow? I dont want him being a snack for my aro in a couple months. I might be able to get some pics later.

i recently bought some delhenzis and ornate bichirs... i found out that they are not picky eaters. i just go and gave them market shrimp, krills, live blood worms and they all take it. i still do feed them some feeders to speed up their growth since they are around 3-4 inches. and they are growing fast... i do 3x of 25% water change every week and 60 feeders on 6 bichirs which are finished in 3 days. and the rest of the week is shrimp, krills and bloodworms.

before i got my little guy he was on feders, but as soon as i put some frozen bloodworms in for him he gobbled um up .

I fed him 2 earthworms that I dug up in my backyard...He really liked em. I got him for $20 i think thats a good deal, no?

$20 for 4-5 inch is a good price. i did however got a 8" for $24 only. and the next two that i bought recently were at $25 at 4". i consider $20 a good price and not a rip off.
