Today I started getting supplies to start my new ray pond/tank. I just scared its going to fall through my basements sub floor. does anyone know if my about 980 gallons i think tank will hold or will it fall though my floor when i fill it with water. the foot prints are 8'*8'* 30'' inches high. I am wiling to reinforce my floor but just need some advice to know if i should do it or not. I'm thinking I will have to though. I ordered the acrylic sheet today also got an amazing deal on it too. it will be 7 foot by 24 and 1 1/2 inch thick. I got it for $250. if anyones has any advice for me let me know, i'm just going into this and not to sure on what I'm doing. I have read all the threads on large DIY tanks and think i can do it. I just really do not want to tear up my sub floor to reinforce it with concrete posts. As I get farther along in this quest for disaster I will post pics and if I works I will show all the step by step process I will be going threw.

what do you mean by sub floor???? your basement is not concrete????
