So I tried to add silver dollars...

I added three, 4" silver dollars to my tank last night. It didn't work out. The gars absolutely tore them to pieces. I managed to get them all out of the tank and into my guppy breeder tank.

At first I thought my congicus had eaten one, but I came home today to find it in the mouth of my biggest flg. Amazingly enough, it was alive.

Yeah. I was told that, but I also see that lots of people have pulled it off. Definitely a mistake. The sd's are tattered, but safe. Seems like theres still some residual aggression happening. The trops are nipping at my p. Congicus now. Hopefully the congi doesn't decide to go after them. Lesson learned.
