... And I see a couple tsn on sale. Actually there was about 30. I asked the guy working there "what size tank will it need" and he replied "at least 75 gallons for the first 2 or 3 years, then you will at least need a 125 for life." I then asked him about various facts about the fish and two questions in he said "I really don't know anything about these fish. I'm a saltwater guy". He also says I could return it of I wanted to before it hits 18". Just thought I share a laugh I got out of today. They also had red tail payara for $110 at 6" long. Is this a good deal.

sounds straight to me lol

LOL. If you don't know your fish don't work in a pet store! About the rtp, I don't know if it's a good price but they're really rare. If you have a tank for it I would get it. They only get 13" btw so it's a lot more manageable than one of those armatus p's.

nope my male he always looks small in the 78 why?

Here's a pic of a 2 year old TSNxRTC I saved from a LFS... he's in a 125gal in the photo below before I bought him... He's now in my 3000gal catfish pool loving life.

Now tell me even this young fish at over 3' long could live in a 125 for life... Sometimes I wish I could smack those stupid LFS employees and owners... 125gal for life...

Near me red tail payara at 6"-7" cost around $100. But, $110 is not that much of a difference. Sounds like a pretty good deal. What size tank were all those tsn in!? 30 tsn should be in like a 500 gallon when babies! I doubt they are, but if they are then its probably an awesome, caring fish store! If not what size tank are they in? Sounds pretty cool! Any pics of the fish or tanks?

Thats funny though

i saw red tails here about a 2 months ago go for $60 about 5-6" and right now Petland has one for 6-7" for $75 so id say no. Like come on petland cheaper :p

I would grab those red tail payaras! I bought mine for $160!

If I had any money I would. Plus my tank is stocked to brim anyways. And I'm not sure how easy it is to get ten off live food or how they fair with other fish
