...and you would like to get them on non-live food... since I can't do the bw and pellet crumble method, is the drop-feeding guppy, then mix in dropping pellets, the next best trainer? I've read about both, but I haven't seen an A vs B thread, or an if not A, then B thread. Thanks!
 
I would try silversides. You can get them at your local lfs. Drop em in one at a time. IN a powerhead or current. Make sure the bass have your attention first...try and dangle one in the water first.
 
Blackworms first, then black/bloodworm mix, then bloodworm/pellet mix seems to be the logical progression.
