Cleveland is not only the worst weather city in America (http://www.forbes.com/2010/02/05/weather-snow-storm-lifestyle-travel-winter-snowfall.html?boxes=Homepagechannels) Its also the 11th most junk food obsessed (http://www.kirotv.com/health/16187182/detail.html) and its No. 2 big city in annual poverty ranking (http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2008/0/cleveland_2_big_city_in_annual.html)
not to mention its in the top 30 most dangerous cities in the US.

Or so says the internet lol
I don't mind it in the summer, it can actually be nice

Wiosh people would stop dewellling on these stupid rankings. Ever been to Detroit? the most redeeming quality is the bridge out of there. Their weather is colder their crime rate and unemployment are far higher than Cleveland's. But you never hear the negative stuff on that cesspool rambled on about for weeks on end.

I have a friend that lives in a suburb of Detroit that I visit when I can and Cleveland can be just as bad with with poverty, crime, and deterioration of living and property. I happen to live in Cleveland and as long as you stay downtown near all the attractions and steak houses it looks decent minus the 6 people who stop and beg for you money before you can get to your car. As far as Detroit Ive never had a gun pulled on me while I was there or even had anyone ask me for money that I can remember, I don't live there but at least when I visit the streets are plowed and the side walks are shoveled I cant say the same for Cleveland. Ever been to Hayden and Eddy at night or how about Chapman off Euclid?
I wasn't serious when I started this thread but you had to talk about what you dont know. I actually enjoy living here (to an extent), Im just saying its not one of the better cities out there statistically.
Im not trying to start an online fight because that's just ridiculous, at the same time you shouldn't talk about what you don't know.

Im not saying Cleveland is the worst city out there, or even that its worse then Detroit but sure isn't the best. In my opinion and apparently Forbes the winters here are worse, the place that should be the worst winter city (I think) is Buffalo the get killed every winter no mater what it seems.

PS: You here more people complain about Cleveland because you live in Ohio, If you lived in Michigan you'd here more about Detroit that's just common sense

come to philly

Naw that's alright lol I'm hoping to move south in a couple of years, If I get the money south west. Im not made for the winter, the snow is my enemy.

I go to Detroit 9-10 times a year never lived there though. I lived in Cleveland for 10 years and near Cleveland my whole life. I've had people beg from me in both towns. I've heard many more gunshots in Detroit than I did when I lived in Cleveland. Never seen as many burned out buildings as I have as when I'm in Detroit. I want to Tiger games in the old Tiger stadium wondering why all the area around the stadium was boarded up. Restuarants that should be hopping before games were closed. After games it seemed everyone ran out of town as soon as they could.
Never had a gun pulled on me in either city. I have several relatives and work with many people from Detroit. I mean Detroit, not Grosse Point, or Bloomfield Hills, even they would rather not be there. Don't flame someone until you know where they are coming from.
I proud to be from Cleveland. If anything negative comes out about Clevelalnd I try to keep under the rug as much as possible, not broadcast it to everyone that hasn't heard about it yet.
Not saying Detroit is much worse than an other major US city. It's the only nearby city that I've spent much time in.

This goes both ways
as far as keeping it under the rug I dont know why its not like Im scaring the tourists away lol

There's no need to fight. I think we can agree that Cleveland and Detroit are both terrible.

Just kidding! I've never been to either.
