Well, this guy came up cheap, he was in a cramped LFS tank and the manager knows I have a decent sized tank. He had been there a few weeks and lots of people with small tanks were refused his purchase. I was offered him cheap, he has slotted in fairly well in the 300, the 13" Oscar gave him some stick at first but all seems calm now.
I'm guessing he is a low grade classic zz, I like him tho so that's what matters I guess. He is around 10-11".
He has some dorsal damage that won't grow back but who cares if I can give him a nice home!-)

We named him dozer, mainly cause as the Oscar showed him who was apparently boss (big softy Oscar really as usual) he just swam at him with his fat head lol.

Dozer is a beast...nice! I'd like him even more if he didn't have any flower markings. Really nice pearl worms on his head. Someone really took care of him to allow him to grow to this size. Many fall ill and die young. Nice job in rescuing him.

Yeah he is cool, love the yellow head. The old owner was moving abroad so gave him to a friend and he didn't get on with his friends fish, he was bullied, hence getting traded in.
Hopefully he stays mellow.

He said thanks!-)

He has really nice pearling. I would keep an eye out for him and that female though. If they spawn could cause some mayhem in your setup.

Yeah, she was bought as a trimac a few months back.... Clearly a FH... Lots of fish in the 300 going soon to a pals tank.

Good looking guy, and nice that he found a proper new home. Might not be king of the tank but I'd wager he still prefers it to the LFS.
