I've just been about 3 inches and a quick reaction away from being stung by one of my rays.
I was cleaning the back panel of glass to the tank with a scourer. I knew he was there so was watching him, not what I was doing. The mrs was watching the other ray as normal.
Suddenly I saw his tail curl up like a scorpions. He was a.ready buried under the sand. At that point my had was out of the water and right round my glass of beer!!! Not the adrenaline rush I would like. But the glass really needed doing.
Moving on I seem to get really hard to move algae spots on the back of the glass. The tank is no where near a window but between 11-12 in the day the sun is in just the right place to get on the glass. I have a plastic glass cleaning 'blade' which I. Must say is useless for this type of algae. Also the water quality and clarity is bang on. (I can read the Samsung logo on the back of my tv though the 6 foot tank!)
Can anyone recommend something to scrape it with that's 'on a stick' that won't damage the glass?
thanks. And yes I know. I'm lucky!
