I picked up another Cincta last week hopeing to have a mate for my other. I had it in the 55 with the johanna split with a divider. I used a reg divider since it has the super small holes and stuck a old 10g filter on that side. Well I woke up this morning to a non flowing filter. The end was cracked so the end was open. I thought the fish was too big to fit. Well it chased a rosy up and into the pipe when I pulled it out it had one in its mouth.
Also got one for my brother and his ate itself to death, so Im 1-3 on cincta and 0-1 on orange but perfect on some others.
guess I'll go ask if he can order another and/or bigger one.

Gotta keep your eye on new fish in a community tank. Tried puttin our 12" female Marm in a 125 with the male 14" Venezuela she grew up with - no way! you'd think they might remember their former buddies. Actually they might have settled down, we just didn't want this beautiful female to suffer any damage, we'll try again later....

You took her out? Why? She was in wit the Ven. when I was there...haha. Sorry bout your loss Taz. Gotta keep those filter intakes covered. Also, if your gonna introduce new pikes, do it in groups. Takes the aggression off of that one fish....

yeah, will def make sure from now on. Im even more pissed thugh cause Kutty just assured I was right on having a female (white stripe) already and that the new one was male (clear fin).

Ill just grow out J with the BB as its buddy.

Kutty knows. . . . tank balance with the Pikes and other fish is super important, just ask any exp. pike owner.

That sucks man. I had something similar happen to a flavicans catfish right after I got him. Better luck next time.
