Can you provide more information on the catfish. There are lots of cats that can be called armoured cats, including plecos, corys and their relatives, as well as doradids.

It looks Like this one,it kinda looks like a sturgeon from the sides and little pointy sharp scales poppin out

That's a Trinidad(Common) pleco.. they sell for 3-5 dollars at 3" .... so 50 I would say only if the size is huge

This fish puts rabbits to shame with its breeding habits. i wouldnt take one if somebody paid me. heres an example of this so called 'common pleco' in the wild. this fish is worthless. Sea of Pleco. Million fish. Guppy catfish.
