So my texas and midas have been acting squirrelly together lately. As far as I thought my midas was a male. For a few days there was some epic battling between my texas, my midas, and my alpha salvini, again, whom I thought were all males. The majority of it took place with the texas and midas. The midas has a bit of a sharper dorsal fin, and starting a nice nuchal hump so I assumed it was male. But after scrapping with the texas for a bit, each of them losing some scales and the midas damaging part of it's upper lip, they now co habitat in this cave area together. I saw my texas' tube down this afternoon while home for lunch so me thinks there may be eggs on the way. If they lay them or have laid them I cannot see them as they will probably be on the backside of a covered stone. I guess my question or situation is then, can those out there with female midas post some pics of them for reference? And what advice does anyone have if this is mating behavior? Here are a couple pics from March 2011 however she/it/he has grown a considerable bit since then. I should take some recent pics if it ever comes out of it's cave. I will try to soon. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
