I have decided to go through with the 2 Armatus together. I will be adding another Silver Aro as soon as I can power feed him and catch him up in size. They last time I housed them together they were fine. He outgrew the Armatus pretty quick.
So the stock will be
2 12" Armatus
1 Silver Aro power fed to catch him up in a 75gal
1 VitATF if I can find one and get him up to size in a 75Gal first. I know they have a pretty slow growth rate.
2 Striped Raphaels
2 SPotted Raphaels
1 Royal Pleco
4 Clown Loaches (not 100% sure on these guys yet)
50 Neon Tetras
I am kind of shying away from adding any "dithers" such as balas or TFs.
If you guys really think it is a good idea I am still open to suggestions. I know Armatus go after flashy/silvery fish but maybe the neons will kind of keep their eyes occupied??, and give the tank a little color one usually would'nt see in a predator tank such as this..
Substrate will be natural sand with 2 massive artificial plants at top and one piece of smooth driftwood a little off center for decor. Black background of course.
Living Color wet/dry 1800gph mag drive Supreme I think it is and an FX5 with a decent size powerhead.
ANy input as I get this thing straight in my head is once again appreciated. Not trying to kicj the deadhorse thread. I just want to make sure everything is right. I always like to have a solid plan with a couple escape routes!!!
