So Sick About......

I'm so sick about one of jars being eaten by my Silver. I had to separate my 7 jars because they were fighting. So I ended up putting one in my silver Aro tank because I had ran out of tanks to put them in. So they were doing good for about 2-months. He grew to be about 5 1/2 inches. My silver is now about 16 inches. Well yesterday morning I feed everybody Frozen shrimp, Krill, and crickets. I know everybody was full because their stomachs had a little bulde to it. So later on the night I get home from the gym and decide to give them some crickets. I make my rounds to the tanks and everyone as usaual snatches up the crickets. So I get to my Silver Aro tank and throw 2 crickets in the tank. Nothing happen. My jar usually will snatch the crickets up. I look in the tank for my jar and he wasn't there. I look all around the tank, he didn't jump out my tank is well covered. Then I look at my silver aro with a hugh bulging stomach.... Well now I have 5 jars left....... I just grow 2 out and sell them and keep the 3 to be monsters!!!!!!
 
I feel bad for the jar, but why didn't you just sell off or trade a few away. Did you actually think you were going to have 6 or 7 tanks to house full grown jars? Or where you going to try and com. Them again, because they only get more agressive as they grow... sorry man but it's a tuff lesson learnt.. Don't keep fish you care about with other fish that are nearly 3 times it's size...
 
i feel you'r pain that stinks should cut the silver up and feed him to the jar's silver suck jar's are awsome just my opinion brings me back a few i had my 8 inch jar with a oscar and a ck the oscar killed the ck so i fed the oscar to the cat ha ha ha ha ha mad me feel better atleast

I got died because another jar ate his eyeball and another died because it was sick???????? They were both 4 inchers
 
Tonymofo, sorry for your loss man. Hate to loose a fish no matter what the reason.
