He was okay, it looks like I fell on him in the video but I actually didn't, and I never lifted him by the tail. He swam off fine, and he got 10's all across the board for his little Swan dive at the end.

Nice catch.

The only snappers I have seen around here have moss, algae, and whatever else all over them.

Some of the bigger older ones in the main lake do, too. This guy was in a tiny little section of a stream connecting 2 lakes where it got wider and deeper so he's pretty much stuck there his whole life unless he crosses land, so no algae on him.

Also probably the most aggressive Snapper I ever caught.
