So today i picked up a Salvini and 5 Giant Danios. As soon as i finished acclimating everyone to the 55 i put them in, the JD rushed over to check out the Sal within 5 mins and began his "Im The Boss" dance as i like to call it, he puffs up his gill plate almost to a flare but slighty less and he smacks the other fish, in this case the Sal, with his tail. He proceed to do that for about a minute then another 5-10 minutes of following him around, i sprinkled some food in to see if anyone would eat and to possibly lower aggresion issues... it worked, i then left for dinner and as soon as i opened the door to my room i saw a big cloud of sand everywear and the JD was hiding under his rock and the Sal had taken the JD other piece of territory ( the driftwood ) I was so glad that the JD was being put in his place already, that was part of the reason why i purchase the Sal because the JD was a real dick to the GT and so was the Con. As i write this though the JD has grown a pair and come out finnaly and he started to pick at every one including the Sal, they've since calmed down again and the JD is hiding. The Con seems to have become nicer as well from the "loss" of his mighty leader, Bob ( the JD ) he's not picking at the GT as much as he was.
Now my question is, I added the danios and no ones going for them...there just swimming around the top as if there in heaven in the big tank and the only fish that ive seen so far even make a chance at bothering them was the GT, he kinda stalked them then made a dash for one and failed miserably he's not even big enough to fit the head of one in his mouth LOL. The only fish that COULD eat them is the JD but i have a feeling he's to lazy to make the attempt. Should i worry about everyone ignoring the GD ( Giant Danios ) and just going for eachother as it is right now? Also i DO relize that this tank will be overstocked once everyone grows up, this is just a growout for a 90-100 gallon tank im planning on in the future and the meanest or most beat on will get the 55 gallon with some fish the same temperment as it.
Also sorry if this isnt much of a question its morely just a update for you guys, Ill try and get some pics/vids up tonight.
