I went to feed the fish last night and my silver aro was eyeballing me and I thought, what the hell, I'll try handfeeding him some krill. Well he got the krill, and my finger...he's only around 15" or so but I can imagine what a nip from a big one would feel like. Pretty funny though.

yea i remember hand feeding my aro 16" but it pulled it out of my hand lightly =D

My Jardini jumped up and bit my thumb while doing a water change. And yes, it made me bleed. Very cautious now.

I quit trying to hand feed my 20" silver. She would get me every time! They are just so explosive at feeding time!

this is the smartest thing you can do ;)

I've had two friends bleed from trying to hand feed my big silver:) He's close to 30" and packs a powerful punch. They're just aggressive eaters....not really aiming for your finger. However, their drop eye might make your fingers look like shrimp!

I have been bitten by SR when i accidently dipped my small finger while feeding BB. Surprisingly painful for still quite juvi aro. The silver aros are different. One takes the food gently from hand while the other always lounges at food. The third one does not accept hand feeding ... these silvers are quite big 2'+ jar does not accept hand feeding (and neither does green). hmmm, have not tried to hand feed paimas ...
