Soaking bogwood

i am soaking some bogwood for my neew 50USG tank

i am soaking it in warm water, keeping the buckets in my kitchen and have put trays on top of the bucket to keep the heat in. I am changing the water at least once a day sometimes twice.

is there any other way to speed up the process?

i read somewhere bleech can be added but i am not sure of this.

I do the same but use hot water and change every few hour's or as soon as the water has cooled.If you have some rock's to put in with the wood , the water will stay warmer longer.If you can fit it in a pot you could boil it.
