I'm curious what some of you use to wipe your lights, stands, etc with.

I just have the factory All Glass lights on my tanks and when I wipe them down they still look dirty afterwards. Atleast on the top part where the plastic is not as smooth as the angled part on the front of the fixture.

Please post what cleaner you use and how well it works!

Thanks
Jamie

I use the old fashioned vinegar/water solution. Make sure everything is dry before putting back. I even use it to clean the glass.

Stands I just treat as I do all other wooden furniture.

glass tanks all get water and dry towels..
windex and vinegar when they are empty...

acrylic tanks get novus and vinegar

Tanks:
-Vinegar
-Windex
-Bleach (when empty)

Hoods:
-Orange glo
-Pledge (the orange stuff makes it smell good... but who sniffs their hood?)

Striplights:
-Water
-Vinegar
-Vinegar/water solution (when I am running out of vinegar)

Most of the time vinegar can fix anything that needs to be cleaned off of plastic or glass.

Thanks for the replies everyone!:)

what % do you do with the water/vinegar???

When cleaning the parts, I use 409 or Windex on my light fixtures...
