hi i was at DD fish pets yesterday and they had this armatus like fish there that was around 7-8" TL that was only going for around $50-60. i think it was not the true armatus, but that one that looks just like it.
just a heads up for the socal ppl.
 
I stopped by today and if you're talking about the one in the back-right-front corner of the shop it was priced at $79.99 if I saw correctly. They also had some Freddy's for $8.99, 2 for $16.00. Nice gold to them.
 
great, now i have to stop by there on my way home from work...lol
 
I like that shop...they get some random stuff in...alligator gars, ornates, mudskippers, scombs
 
i saw the whole store for sale somewhere.. i think it was in a vietnamese newspaper but hes asking $304k for it.

I only saw one black arowana but it was marked SOLD...... nice looking lil fella too! He (Danny) could make money at that shop if HE ACTUALLY HAD A PERSONALITY! The guy is dry, dry, dry.
 
Does this place have a good variety of cichlids?
i'm currently looking for a good LFS around OC

I would say "Not typically". He periodically gets trade-ins that are cool but for the most part he stocks Flowerhorns, Oscars, typically LFS stuff. A couple of months back he had a few Umbees and a Grammode that came home with me..... they were trade-ins.
