sock tank blew out

picked up a 300 gal stock tank last year. Have been using it for my filter. the bottom cracked and is no longer useable. has this happened to anyone else? what do I have for options to repair this. I think im better off just buying a new one

Is it glass or acrylic? If its acrylic its a pretty easy fix if glass imo I would just get rid of it.

opps stock tank. its a black plastic.like yould get from a tsc, fleet farm

You should probably get a new one not really sure how you would create a long lasting patch for it

I'm on a koi forum and tons of people use those and have never heard of that happening before so...I'd buy a new one. Worried it wouldn't hold up over time.

that's what I was thinking. no one I've talked to has ever had it happen or heard of it either. even guys that use them for cows

From what I've heard, nothing will really adhere well to polypropylene. You could try this stuff: http://benkrasnow.blogspot.com/2009/11/adhesive-for-polypropylene-and-other.html but I would only do it if it i in the garage or somewhere a leak wouldn't be a big deal.
