ok so yesterday i was at work on my lunch and 5 minutes till my lunch was over i though "****, THE SHRIMP!!!" so i bolted to seafood and they had just closed so i look in the frozen section next to seafood and found these bags of shrimp, 2lbs for 10bucks, not bad i thought so i bought one after work and went home and reading the label, the ingredients said
Ingredients: shrimp, salt, sodium tripolyphosphate

so im woondering what this is? is it harmful if i feed these shrimp to my fish?

The ammount of preservative in the shrimp is quite low so should not harm the fish, the shrimp after all are prepared for human consumption

do presoak it before feeding.:)

Tripolyphosphates are best served with cheese and white whine.
