I;ve heard that if you put some damp soil in a bowl or tub in your tortiose viv it is good for it to go in it. I just want to know does it need to be a special soil or just ordinary compost? Thanks! And is it safe for them.
I think you could just put regular soil, but it's not really the best for a vivarium. Go buy artificial soil, they sell them in big squares, and you put those in water and they expand into some real nice soil. That's what I use for my russian tortoise, and it works great.
