i have seen it done. At the marine science center in Ponce Inlet florida, they have a reef tank that is 25ish feet from the roof, using solar tubes they are growing some killer colonies!!!! So i say go for it. i've seen it work. call there and they will be happy to help they are a not for profit organization.

hmm i was gonna put skylights in my garage for my pond and tank,.... these might work a lil better and let me finish it off more...

i bet some natural sunlight would make your gold and plat mundi's look great li....
