Solo Apisto?

Can an Apisto thrive if it is the only Apisto in the tank? I have a 15 gallon and brought home 2 Striped Panchax, and 2 Oto Cats today. I already had 2 Neons in the tank from the cycling, which is complete. I would like to get something for the bottom level of the tank, preferably something “fancy” like the Apisto. I also planned to get a few more Neons to school. Is this all too much? See any flaws?

Last summer I got a pair of Macmasteri. The female died off within the week. He has been alone since and doing great.
