I'm thinking of setting up another tank, maybe a 40 gallon breeder tank with a solo caribe in it. Are caribe's still more agressive than rbp's even though they are solo.

Yes and No depending on the fish itself. But most likely yes. but again depending the fish.

my caribe was mean as hell when he was with another pygo, when i seperated them he hid behind a rock, and never saw him. My RB however who was also solo seemed to be alot better, but i think it depends on the fish.

If have 25 Rbp's in one tank
I have a S. Sanchezi in one tank
I had a 6" Rhom, now I have a 3.4" Rhom in my bedroom.

I thinking of getting a 2 new tanks. 48" x 30" x 12 7/8"
and another 40 gallon breeder for my room which a solo caribe will go in

I see no reason why you can't keep a Cariba on its own. I know of loads of solo Piraya and they are big and bold. Also a Red thats agressive solo. Go for it, your tank and fish at the end of the day

I keep a solo caribe, and he's extremely aggressive towards other fish, but not towards me. He acts timid around me -- won't chase my finger or anything like that -- but if I drop in another fish, whatever it may be, it's dead in less than 2 minutes at most. He also looks fantastic, and a lot of members on Piranha Fury have stated that he has great coloring. I started a thread in the picture forum on this site, but people here seem not to care much for piranha. I love them though, they're great and beautiful fish to keep.

It's because they don't always hold up to their reputation (I don't know how many threads show up on this board whining about it) and they're not "universally beautiful"

Aros have an exotic quility about them, Cichlids and SW are colorful, Arapaimas are HUGE and so on and so forth....

People just get mad that they're not "vicious" and "bloodthirsty" all of them, all the time. and they, impulse purchased, without researching the animal they're getting first.
