I want to get a solo RBP little 1-1 1/2in. i wanna grow him out alone...but i fully understand Ps do best in groups of 3 or more...i would eventualy add him to a shoal once i get my 120g. for a solo P is it better to get one small or a lil bigger. also is it worth doing...the stores around me sell little rb's for a good price, what should i look for when selecting one...last time i bought a P i chose the one who appeared more agressive was bossed round by a feeder..any thoughts would be helful thanks

well, the two other P's i have are divided in a 75, i would add the RB to the other 2, when and only when i get the 120, in which case itll be a new tank ( and a sweet tank at that) with all new stuff so i dont beleive terrotorial issues will occur.

You'll want to make sure they're roughly the same size when you add you're new guy in. Depending on what size your other 2 are, should decide what size your new one is, if they're not as big as the ones are at the store, buy a little one, if they're that size or slightly bigger, get big.

I like growing mine out, cuz when he's a true ]V[ONSTER I can look at him and tell people that I did that myself!!

You could successfully have all 3 RBPs in your 75, and they'd be fine, but I'm sure they'd greatly appreciate all the extra space in a 120. You could even add a couple more to them!!

my other two P.s are caribe and piraya both are extremely agressize toward eachother..they arent even that big, and i want these 2 guys to get huge! so a 120 is needed. I understand about not adding a smaller RBP to a tank of bigger piraya n cariba. wat i meant was, is a p. less likely to be skittish at a young age (or more likely to be skittish)
