Solo Red Devil in a 55 gallon?

Hey guys,

Do you tihnk this will work or is it cruel? Also can you give me some average sizes for male and female RD? Tell me anything else you think I should know. Im debating whether to go with a solo RD or Oscar, or a community of smaller cichlids. Thanks

Red devils get to big. Most males will get to 13" I have had them get bigger

I wouldnt keep an Oscar or Red Devil in a 55 for life. Maybe for a while, but not life.

This is True for a single RD or a single Oscar for life.

Yeah thats whatI figured. I think I will stick with a smaller cichlid community.

it would only work for short term, I am in the process of starting to upgrade my oscar into a bigger tank
