Behind you
would a single large bala shark be ok with a silver arowana and a school of silver dollars as a tankmate? or does it need to be in a school of other bala sharks also?

Balas need to be in schools, 6 or more. They're skiddish to begin with and remember they also get to about a foot long in captivity.

Ya reckon? I've seen a huge lone one with some silver dollars and it seemed fine? but then again, I'm no bala shark expert.

i do know the fact that they can get about a foot long, I'm asking if what would be their behavior be when kept alone but as an adult already.

theyre very high strung from my experience. i would keep them in a school to keep them more at ease.

better in schools, however I've often seen them school with SD's when they are the only bala in the tank
