Recently came home to find a fish was sick. There is what appears to be a "chunk" of meat stuck in her anus? I have been trying to search for what this is or for pictures to confirm but cannot. When I was away she was fed feeders, quoted as saying a few at a time. She does not eat, moves little, color has faded, and this thing hanging out of her has gotten larger. Any advice please.

Tank inhabitants? Tank size? Tank maintenance schedule? Tank parameters? As much information as you can give.

90 gallon, only fish is a flowerhorn right now. 25% WC every 4 or 5 days, always. Only thing that changed was when I was away it was given feeders, a good amount of them. I do not know the water parameters at the moment..I will test when I am home later this evening. Once I saw it protruding I bumped the temp to 82ish and added some salt. Still swims a little, much less active however and like I said, theres is a reddish white chunk the size of a marble hanging out of the anus...

It has nothing to do with params. Your fish has protruding anus. Mostly due to fatty food intake. Do not feed it for a week. Do not stress it.

It may heel, in time.

what kind of fish is it? you never mentioned.
