It is about a 2000 mile trip. Was just down there visiting family, don't think I am up for the challenge of taking them back to Canada Wish I could they were gorgeous
how would one determine if its not pure ? What species is normally crossed with the Texas ?

Carpintis are usually called (insert color) Texas cichlid.

To be more specific there a lot of carpintis/Cyano mutts in the hobby. For the record I don't really have an issue with hybrids just wish they would be labeled accordingly.
