The Grotto
I have one 6"male and three 4.75-5"+females(i think). right now i have two females and a male in a 75 divided w/male in middle. He seemed to lose most color and darken up in this tank with black sand. the festae on left side i've always thought was female, but shows characteristics of both sexes so im not sure but gonna stick with female. that one and the male seem to spend the most time next to each other. the one on right is definately female. and the fourth is in a separate tank which im using for back up.
I have the 75 next to my dovii tank and when the male is next to festae she will go between him and male festae showing off. she looks like a female when showing off for dovii and a male when showing off for festae. soo..hmmm... any thoughts?

Before reading the words, I like to look at the pics first, I was questioning that left fish, theres little blue/green on the gill but its got a lot of spangles! Festae are so tricky!
 
love festa. thats one fish in my collection i will never get rid of. question tho n dnt take it the wrong way please but do yours get any more red ???? my female is so red its insane and then she will turn almost to blue striped n her face shows so much green. what do u feed yours ? were did u get them ?

These are F0 and i got them from Rapps. He said with the wild caughts sometimes it takes a bit longer for them to color up. the females are just starting to turn color. and yes they will get more color:) I feed flake,pellets,bloodworms,and krill.

Second pic down, one on right is 100% female. the first pic is 100% male the other one and the one i didnt post, who knows:)lol.

She is 5". she has had a red tint to her since 4" she also has black/blue spot on dorsal and was sexed by Rapps as female. Rapps also sexed the one i didnt post as female too but i cant tell for sure.
