Looks like a young spotted gar to me, possibly a florida. Can't really see the pattern. Nice fish, btw.

Yep the dats scoped him out for a bit but the dats don't really mess with it; well for now..

The gar should be fine. I have a SN gar in with a thinbar a tig and a lima and the gar is fine.

Looking good! Gar indeed seems to be florida/spotted and I don't know why but I am leaning towards florida.
