Some hanky panky going on!

My female FH and male RD have declared the center piece of drift wood to be their territory and this evening I saw some eggs. Now I've been doing this long enough to know that fish laying eggs, especially the first time, rarely leads to anything. But I cleared out a nursery tank, just in case. I haven't been this anxious since my wife went into labor with our daughter!

Aaaaaaaaaaand just as I had feared. I woke up this morning to no eggs and a particularly swollen Convict. Oh well. I'm sure they'll try it again.

I can't believe they could not keep the Convict away from the eggs.
Are Convicts that quick or is he the dominant fish in the tank?
