I have a 10 to 11 in Jar was wondering how to heal split fins? i've been using melafix for 3-4 days now and i havn't seen any improvement... Does anyone have any ideas??

bump the temp to 82 to 85 degrees and add salt. waterchanges are good to.

Thanks i will try that.. i think my TM balgarius cat may be attacking him too.. but the cat just ate a 2 to 3in feeder so i dunno.. but thanks for the tip!!

Are the rays damaged? Damaged rays may or may not grow back. Split fins will heal. It can take up to a week.

the jar has a split tail fin .. bottom fin has damages during shipping but i noticed that part was growing back ..top fin is ok

How did his fins rip in the first place? If you have nippers you'll need to remove those. Damage from fish bites occur alot faster than the time it takes to heal ripped fins.

i have seen the balgarius cat snap at him once but he was still new to the tank but not any more.. the loach can't do damage can he? honestly i dont know how his tail fin splitted really not ripped
