I just purchased a 55g and need some decorating ideas...I'm putting 3 RBPs in it. I'd love it if youd post some pics and gemme some ideas. Its going in my parents living room so it HAS to look nice considering my dad is a clean and neat freak! BTW- I got a 55 w/ EVERYTHING (even including plastic plants) and a 20g w/ everthing for 60 bucks!!! I'm so stoked!! I'm going to build a nice stand for it since it needs to look nice cuz of the fasa, but other than that its sweet! Sorry just realized this should be in DIY forums....I'm new to this whole thing sry.....

I would go with some natural color gravel, 1/4" to 3/8" size. Slope the gravel in your tank from back to front(higher in back). This will make the tank look deeper. Maybe put in a few larger smooth stones. Lots of plants to break up the line of sight for the rbps'. This will help in keeping some of the fin nipping down.

In general, I like large driftwood and rocks. RBPs will also like hiding spots large wood provides. Add some floating plants and possibly rooted plants as well (Vallisneria are pretty easy to take care of).
