some idiot stole my green crab trap

thats right some guy went onto our dock in a private marina and stole my DIY green crab trap that was sitting back my the motor, pisssed!

dont think they make traps for small greens, and need one for tommorow since were going black fishing mostlikely and if we dont ill just sell the crabs

anyone think a minnow trap will work?

I don't see why not, as long as the entrances are wide enough.

Probably wont get too many crabs in the minnow trap. Do what my neighbor did, use some old frayed metal cable as a line, just remember to wear gloves when pulling it up. He lost a few traps until that install, then the thievery mysteriously stopped.

They should'nt be pulling someone else's traps.

the marina has security and checks cars coming in but people can still access it from the public beach which is dumb

i need something that will jsut catch me green crabs for a day of blackfishing if the stripers are slow lol

weird how he could even see it all there is is a cord tied off and going into the water, he could of stolen our net in the rocket launcher rod holders or other peoples nets but he took my trap

anything other than a minnow trap i could make in an hour?
