I took some interesting shots of the Jellies at the Monterey Aquarium past weekend, and it got me interested in my old shots. I re-did them from the original RAW files (last time I did them, I did not have a good monitor and my PS skills were mediocre at best). The stuff came out really nice. Here are a few highlights:

hey Ed,

You preach that it is best to take shots with an over the tank flash.. How do you shoot when at an aquarium? Do you do a lot of setup or are you just point and clicking... with adjusting your camera for lighting and such of course.

GREAT SHOTS AS USUAL!

Here's a couple more jellies, what a great shot! LOL

Well, at the public aquaria it depends on the exhibits. Most tanks I can still do overhead wireless stuff like always, u just raise it up and point down, becomes almost like a straight down angle.

Jelly areas are usually pitchblack and it's impossible to use flash. Trust me I tried. Then it becomes a matter of a camera that is good at high ISO shots. Most Canon DSLRs are exceptional (one big advantage over Nikon) at taking high ISO Photographs. These were done at ISO 1600 and are still very usefull.
