 I just got home about an hour ago and found out that my silver arowana was on the flour dry up and doesn't move at all, which techniquely mean dead! Man to think that I just watched him swimming happily not so long ago and now ......gone. Usually i leave a dim light on when ever it is too dark in my room but today i was in a hurry and left the room the way it was without turn any light on and i think that it freak him out and try to jump out the tank, which i cover it nearly everywhere..sigh ....just like i said nearly everywhere and there is a small hole that i think that my arowana can't jump out from it. So now i learn it the hard way that "LEAVE NO HOLE ON THE TOP OF YOUR TANK".
Anyway i don't think that i will buy a new arowana anytime soon. :(
here some picture of him, both alive and dead....

that sucks. i hope mine doesnt do that. i admit i have a small hole where the filter tubes exit and enter the top, and i'm trying to figure out what to do about my glass top as i dont want him breaking through it when he gets bigger.

Sorry about that. Poor guy

Silver + hole = "jumped out of the tank"
Sorry about your fish, but i don't think you'll be the last person to post like this. Get yourself another fish and cover the tank properly. Don't give up.

Thanks a ton for the encouragement guys, I think I will buy a new arowana (asian green may be) soon and about the hole i all ready fixed it. I don't want to lost another one for the same mistake that i made. Thanks again!

Sorry for your loss.

All the BEst for your new venture.
